Editorial Wedding Photography in Kent
Hello, and a warm welcome to my website. I document weddings with instinct and experience; within them I direct portraits with confidence and intention.
Throughout the day I observe moments as they unfold, without intrusion or performance. When it is time for portraiture, I compose deliberately, framing couples within architecture and shaping each image through light and structure.
Historic estates and grand country houses are not simply backdrops; they are integral to my composition. The result is imagery that balances authenticity with elegance. It is structured, expressive and designed to endure.

Documentary at Heart
The foundation of my work is documentary observation. I pay close attention to conversation, gesture and expression; the small exchanges that define a wedding day.
I do not choreograph these moments. I watch, anticipate and respond. Couples enjoy time with their guests, knowing the story is being recorded with clarity and discretion.
This approach allows the day to unfold naturally. The images feel unforced, precise and honest; shaped by awareness rather than intervention.
Editorial When It Matters
Portraiture is approached with intention.
I do not simply place a couple before a backdrop. I compose within structure and light. Historic estates, castles and grand country houses offer depth and geometry; archways, columns, stonework and gardens become integral to the image rather than decorative surroundings.
Direction is purposeful and informed by experience. I shape posture, spacing and movement so that composition feels natural yet refined. The aim is not stiffness or spectacle, but elegance.
Colour is handled with discipline. Tone, contrast and atmosphere are crafted carefully at the point of capture and refined in post production. Black and white is used only where it strengthens form and clarity; never as a shortcut, always as a considered artistic decision.
These portraits are composed studies in connection, set within spaces of architectural character. They are deliberate, balanced and enduring.

Historic Estates & Grand Country Houses
Kent is home to some of the most remarkable wedding venues in the country; historic estates, private country houses and architectural landmarks rich in character.
I work particularly well within these spaces. They are never treated as merely scenery. Architecture shapes perspective, influences light and sets the tone for portraiture. Familiarity with these historic venues allows me to efficiently work, making the most of time without disrupting the natural flow of the day.
Over the years I have photographed weddings across Kent and East Sussex, within castles and long-established estates where heritage and celebration sit naturally together.
I have photographed weddings at a number of Kent’s most distinguished castle and country house venues, including:
